How come in my bios I have set my ddr speed to be 2-2-2-6, however, CPUID shows my ddr to be at 2.5-3-3-7?

Check your BIOS dram timings page for the SPD setting.

If dram timings are set to use SPD timings, the BIOS will automatically read the SPD information from the memory module and set dram timings accordingly - over-riding manual dram timing settings.

Hope this helps!

i thought I had set the cas latency in the bio to manual. Guess I'll have to check on that

Has anyone run benchmarks to see if CL of 2 is about 10% better than CL 2.5 in DDR memory (like it is in SDRAM memory)? Most of the "tests" on web sites seem to indicate that a memory bus speed of 175 at CL 2 is better than 182 at CL 2.5.

I read it from somewhere else saying that 133 CL2 is faster than 150 CL3.
Is this true ?
