DDR BOARDS!!

hello, i originaly order epox 87ka+ motherboard from newegg, but it was defective, so i sent it back to get a new one, but course there out of them so they just put the money back on my card and said they cant get anymore. Newegg is starting to really suck! i had order problems with them before and the sales associates are morons. Anyway!!! is there any other really good DDR boards? I dont care about having raid! Please help.

Can you list what you are going to be looking for in the board? There are a few good DDR boards out there. Here is a review and comparison of three of them. I prefer the ASUS. Others will undoubtedly differ for their own reasons.

I use the Fic AD11, and my athlon 1.2 will run at 1380. Only $105 at GPS Computer Services. Disadvantages are no extra fan connectors and fewer fsb choices. If you have the bucks, go for the Abit KG7.

The Gigabyte GA-7DXR and the MSI K7 Master are both nice too. If you are planning on overclocking, avoid the Asus as it is the only AMD 760 based motherboard that does not allow multiplier adjustment. Also, the Epox 8KHA is nice, and I am pretty sure New Egg has them in stock. They are real similar to the 8K7A, they just use the Via KT266 northbridge instead of the AMD 761.

Asus has been a joke recently, i would stay away from them. Ive had many compatibilty issues with asus boards and micron ram recently. A good buy is the Pc_chips m830, it will out perform almost any socket a board at half the price.
