DDR Board vs. SDRAM

I am trying to decide on which way to go DDR with the Asus A7M266 or the SDRAM either (ABIT KT7A or the ASUS A7V133). I am on a budget so with the SDRAM board I would be getting 256mb of Crucial CAS 2 and with the DDR I would be getting 128 mb of PC2100. I want to try some overclocking and will use this computer for games and also engineering software. Which should I buy looking for ANY help!!!
