DDR 800 vs DDR 1066

I am planning a new Intel build and I was wondering if I would see any noticeable gains upgrading the RAM from DDR2 800 to DDR2 1066?

This system will not be overclocked much if at all.

Thanks in advance.

There isn't a huge performance upgrade gained by running your ram at a faster speed than 1:1 with your FSB (especially outside of benchmarking). If you aren't planning on overclocking, and don't need the extra headroom, I would personally go with the cheaper/slower ddr2-800 and buy more of it (if that is a concern).

If you already have the ram, upgrading it would have to be your absolute worst bang for the buck. I'd say do everything else first and then skip the the ram unless you literally have money to burn.

Thanks for the input Wuzup. I will just get the $12 dollar OCZ 2 gig kit.
