ddr 400 memory and 533mhz processor

I just bought an Abit is7 motherboard. I wish to use a p4 2.8 533mhz as it will save me buying a new processor. Will I have to use pc 2700 (333mhz) memory or will will pc3200 memory work with this cpu?

I know that some motherboard manufactures (msi and asus) indicate that only pc2700 or lower will work with their 865pe motherboards when using a 533mhz processor. The is7 manual does not seem to state if it will be a problem or not.

Any comments?

Not sure about individual motherboard but I think you can use PC3200 (200/400) memory runnning at PC2700 (166/333) speed. Some motherboards even allow you to run the system bus at 533 with the memory at 800. Look for a multiplier setting the BIOS for 2, 2.5, and something.
