DDR 266 or DDR 400 with AMD 2400 on nforce2:Poll Question

I want to know whether an AMD 2400 XP with 266mhz fsb will perform better with DDR 266 or with DDR 400.In tech-arena.com/forums people told me that there would be no difference.
 
since the processor only uses a 266fsb, the extra bit wouldn't give you any performance differnce. you should just get the DDR400 stuff though, it's actually cheaper to buy that stuff new than it is to buy 266 now.
 
I live in India and there the cost difference : ddr 266 is about 25-30% cheaper.What will be the %age of performance difference?
