not true at all

it depends on the router. many traditional G routers really blow chunks (25% loss) with WPA2. however, with a wireless N router you must use WPA2; any other encryption causes incredible throughput loss.

If that's the case then it is an EXTREMELY poor implmentation. Technically there is no difference in overhead and speed wise it is all done in hardware.

If a router does AES in processor then they deserved to be flogged.

If your success in Games is depending on the Differences between Wireless encryption forms, you are in a Very Bad Shape my friend. :(

awww, c'mon...post!

I wanna talk techie stuffs.

I'll take a gander that some 802.11G routers aren't 802.11i (WPA2) compliant nor do they list it in their features. Well to be fair they can be compliant, but not do it well and punt to the processor?

Let's get into the meat of any real overhead from a bit/bandwidth perspective?

You are absolutely Right.
My comment mean to be in the contest of assuming ?I must stay with Wireless?.
No matter what the fancy charts show (which BTW, I rarely mange to get the same result when trying it myself).

The man would not score better, whether he does not use encryption, or use any of the None WEP modes.
