Ok I bought the buffalo WHR-G125 and flashed it with dd-wrt and so when I try to go to the router via a web browser (192.168.1.1) it just sits there and tries to load for a sec then says internet explorer failed to load the page. I have flashed it twice now thinking maybe one was a bad version. Each time I got a successful transfer message in the command prompt so I am pretty positive nothing went wrong. The current file on it is dd-wrt.v23_generic.bin

I've tried accessing it with DHCP on the computer and using 192.168.1.2 as the installation guide suggests. I am not sure what else to try but it's pretty frustrating. If anyone could help me I'd really appreciate it.

jeez I thought this was a popular router - nobody has any suggestions for me? I'm sure it's something stupid but I just can't figure it out. Thanks..

Might be that you flashed incorrectly, ot that the specific unit was bad to begin with.

I never Flash a new unit before I use it for a day or two and play with its configuration as it out of the box to make sure that the specific unit it is Not problematic.

Try it with the Regular IP and the regular ID and PW, may be it is not flashed.

If it does not work with either credentials (Buffalo or DD-WRT), may be this can Help,

If needed search more the term is Unbrick a Router.

Assuming you flashed it correctly, unplug your router from your computer, then unplug your router from power.

Plug your router back into power.

Go to run, type "cmd", then type ipconfig /release.

Plug your computer into your router.

Type ipconfig /renew.

Wait till it's done, then type ipconfig. The gateway is the address you should put in your internet explorer bar to access the web gui.

Call buffalo support. If they are in a good mood they might give you the original stock firmware and instructions to reconfigure the Router as it was out of the Box.
