DD-WRT question

I'm using a netgear with DD-WRT, mostly to use as a game adapter for my xbox 360. I set the router to bridge/repeater, but can't seem to use it as a repeater.

1. The connection to my xbox works fine
2. My main router (ssid TRENDNET) does not seem to be repeating, signal strength in my bedroom (room with DDWRT router) is low
3. The ssid DDWRT exists, but refuses connection

Should I change my DDWRTs ssid to TRENDNET as well? Should they use the same channel?

Thanks!

I'd keep the SSID separate if possible, on a different SSID and channel, to reduce confusion -- you want to connect to the repeater, not the original router when you're closer to the repeater. It sounds like you have a configuration issue with the 2nd SSID -- try checking the security/etc., options for that virtual interface.
