Apparently a fan-speed problem, can cause cards to overheat, or at the least, throttle badly and slow down.

Yeah, BumbleBee got it bad. Barely able to run a single Milkyway task (was running 3, but shutting down instantly) and the temp is at 92-98C. Set fan speed to 100%, which is only actually only running about 20% according to that article. :/

And with the Hotfix properly installed, BumbleBee still has the 20%max fan speed issue. What a bunch of brilliant software engineers. Uninstalling and going back to the 'old' catalyst version.

EDIT: And...problem solved by reverting to older driver set. 20-30C cooler temps, while back to running 3 simultaneous tasks vs 1.

Eek, nasty! Only just noticed this thread!

I wonder if this is the cause of a large number of issues with AMD cards & the recently released Elite Dangerous: Horizons ...... (it's much harder work for the GPU going planetside).

Thx for the heads up V Larry , I'm going to post that link to the Elite Dangerous forum too, although I'm sure some people there must of heard of this by now.....
