DC TO AC Power converter to run laptop

I have a 9300 gateway with an AC adapter/charger.
Input on the adapter says AC100-240v 50/60Hz Max 1.5A
I found a 60watt DC to AC power inverter cigarette lighter adapter at radio shack that says it will run a laptop.

Will it work for me?

 
It should work. It's got some nice protection features, too. Your laptop says max of 1.5A. This inverter should shutdown before it even reaches that amount. That's assuming that the temperature increases by 40 degrees celsius for every 1 watt.
