ive got a friend of mine running seti right now with a 56k modem for internet connection and its great because she can upload a few times a week using seti driver to cache units for her and its not a big deal. ive been doing some research into running dpad since i know that uploading can be done at a leisurely pace and not have a time limit on when data needs to be returned. thus here is my question.....are there any other projects out there (other than dpad) that allow you to cache amounts of data for say a week so you only have to upload once a week and not daily? i have some computers that dont have internet access to them and arent networked that run seti and i just plug in 1 cat5 cable for all of them and upload a few times a week and this works well. anyone got any good suggestions as for a project to look into that doesnt have time sensative data that can be uploaded like once per week and yet still help in the name of science? any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance

D²OL can cache up to 2000 WUs so that's a viable option. It would take a 2.2GHz machine a little over two weeks to exhaust that cache. :)

ok i installed d2ol and i have a question regarding it already :)

i have 2 programs running in task manager when i fire this up:

D2OL.exe & GridWin.exe are these the only 2 that are supposed to be running? ive got this thing just running in the system tray so i assume that its running the client only and not the gui, is that right?
