Not a problem. Change the setting before your current WU finishes. Historically, you can get SMP WUs on dual cores but I'm not sure what the minimum requiresments are these days.
So does it just finish the current uni-processing WU in uni-processing mode or whatever, then acquire SMP next time and do parallel stuff?

I changed NOTHING and the next queued project appears to be SMP. It is project number 8701.

Can someone please confirm whether or not 8701 is truly SMP?

If it is, it's odd how the client fixed the issue itself without my intervention...

EDIT: I just realized that BOINC was still running SETI (I thought I had suspended and closed it, but apparently I hadn't). Both the cores are now maxed out at around 50% each, which makes sense given it's running in classic/uni-processor mode. However, this has nothing to do with an appropriate (SMP) project being queued, as I only found out about SETI still running after it was queued by the client. So yea, still somewhat odd. Any ideas?

I have a button to "Finish" a WU and then stop. If you don't see that button try right clicking the icon in the systray.

If biodoc is right about no SMP on dual core ... you could "Add" another uni-processor, but uni-processor is very poor ppd. It might be best to put another computer on FAH and this one on BOINC.

It is SMP.

The SMP unit will not score well if you also run Seti on that dual, it may not score well even if it is using both cores.
I'm not running SETI for that reason. I'm going to focus on Folding.

Update: Both cores are now maxed at 100% with the new SMP WU, and are not going above 53°C. The PPD is now around 2000.

😀

Glad to hear everything is ok. Remember what GLeeM pointed out. You'll need to finish 10 SP WUs before you get the bonus points.
