DC from a portable drive

Hey everyone.

I am looking for some DC projects that I can run from a portable drive. I recently went back to school and am spending a lot of time on systems that i am not allowed to install anything on. I am allowed to run programs from my personal directory or from a portable drive tho.

So far i have been running the distributed.net and also thinking about getting back into DPAD.

Are there any others that can be run this way?
thanks

My experience is that with some of the older versions of BOINC (Ver 5 I think), you can copy the whole BOINC folder to a protable drive and run the program from there. Or copy it onto your PC to save writes to a protable drive. My work laptop is like that. I have no admin rights, but I copied an installed version of BOINC from another machine and I run if from the laptop. Hope that helps.

We'd be glad to have you back in DPAD 🙂

Re latter BIONCs, I'm pretty sure you can alter the default directories during the install process so that all dir's are in one location.
