I have one of these now going on for about a year. NO its not hd, and no its not all that bright, BUT its perfect for a bedroom, where you watch tv mostly at night in the dark. Its very small, pretty quiet, and has a pretty good picture for the price. Excellent for a bedroom, IMO, for I have my shield hooked up to it, and though it does have a speaker, I used line out, to a stereo with good speakers and a sub.
All in all, I paid more, and at $80~, its a great buy, just dont buy it expecting to use it for main use watching tv in a living room, I wouldnt buy this for something like that. I shine mine on my wall, at about 100 inches, and nothing like going to bed with a really huge butt tv, and because its not really a light canon, its not like going to bed with the sun in your room.
