I want to nuke my D:\ Drive -- not my OS Install. The MBR is fubar; I want to make it think it is brand spanking new.

Open to suggestion provided you first answer my q'. :)
Thanks,

(BTW I want to nuke because I once installed OS X on that Drive and it still has some EFI entries further down)

You can also use the Zero Fill or Low Level Format feature of the utilities disk you can download from most drive maker's web sites. It doesn't do as thorough a job of overwriting (only one pass, but you can run it several times in succession if you want) as DBAN or Eraser, but should still be proof against casual attempts to recover data while not taking a huge amount of time to do.

Wise choice. These forums often have posters who mistakenly erase or format the wrong hard drive.

My dad wonders why I open my case and unplug my hard drive when I am toying around with linux...
