Has anyone used the Dazzle Digital Video Creator or the Dazzle DV Editor? If so, how well do they work and do you recommend them?

I've not used the two products that you mentioned, but I've used the DVC II, which is an MPEG2 Capture & Edit system. I'm currently using the Hollywood DV Bridge, which allows for the conversion/capture of Analog video to DV and vice versa.

The DVC II is a unique product.. as it is the first real consumer mpeg2 capture card. It captures great and scales all the way up to DVD quality, but the problem lies in editing. MPEG 2 is just way to compressed to edit & takes countless hours to edit & rerender.

The DV Bridge is a great product so far (only had it for two days). Capturing, editing & outputing in DV format is a dream. My only complaint would be that the DV avi file are huge! I did a 1.5 hour capture last night and it took nearly 20GB.. add in temp files for rendering & that puts it up to nearly 25GB for a single movie. Luckily once edited, I have the option of rerendering to MPEG1/2.

Overall I'd say that dazzle makes good products, but only has so-so support. Check out these to links to see what people are saying about Dazzle products..
