dayz needs chernaus and animation files

keep getting errors that dayz needs animation files on startup

when it goes into game it quits and then says it can not find chernaus

unfortunately i enabled dayz in the operation arrowhead game and now i can not start that game either

I would just uninstall everything - including ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: OA - get rid of DayZ, then start from a fresh slate using DayZCommander. That program works really well for updating and maintaining your DayZ installation.

This. DayZ is best handled through a third party tool such as DayZ commander or sixlauncher (if it still exists).

so after uninstalling dayz from steam all of the arma 2 games work perfectly again
