That's the result of some legislation from 2005, details are in the link. Personally, I think DST is a waste of time. I mean, in Alaska it's pointless. Does it to anyone any good anymore?

Well, at least I'll know that when I go out for Halloween this Saturday night, I'll have an extra hour on Sunday to recover. :D
