Woot! Though we lose a hour of sleep, I'm excited to have an extra hour of daylight after work. More time to do stuff outside.

Ditto. The weather was nice enough here Saturday through Monday to take the kids out but not for long because of darkness.

Now I'll be able to take them to the park without trying to beat sunset.

It's "Daylight Saving" time, not daylight savings like most people say. Daylight savings makes it sound like there's a sale that day. :D

guess I need to check if i need to dowload another MS patch for my Blackjack phone...I was too lazy to do it last time so my time was alway off. changing the time manually didn't help cuz it always fixed itself (never looked up how to turn that off, if that was possible).

Oh wow, I didn't notice that Vista even reminds me when DST is. Just clicked the clock on the lower right and a message popped up, along with the calendar.

Edit: Woohoo, 1000 posts!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahh, what a crappy post to waste this momentous occasion on! :D

Change your clocks at 5PM.

You mean go to bed an hour early?
Then I'll just lay there for an hour trying to get to sleep.

Right, because we magically produce an extra hour of daylight. Why not just wake up an hour earlier and see the daylight that is already there?

It's not my fault that you're defective.

I just wish it wouldn't change. I like having more light after work. Of course it will diminish during winter but that's okay since usually weather during winter isn't conducive to outdoor activities.

Spring Forward and Fall Back.

Will be nice that it's light out after work. Now we just need the snow to go away...

B/c that doesn't give you an extra hour of daylight after work.

Ugh, I hate daylight savings time.
Now I will have issues falling asleep/waking up for the next few months.

According to OdiN, I would be defective. However, I will side with nakedfrog and instead claim non-defectiveness!

why is it that during fall/winter, when sun tends to set earlier anyway, we set the clock BACK? and why is it that in summer/spring, when days are "longer", we put the clock forward?
