have you seen those killer hornets that attack and pick-on tarantulas?

they fly around, smelling the air for htem near the ground, find their lil whole and then storm the hole in the ground and attack the spider... really fsckd up, and the horents are really creppy looking too... like lamost worst htan watching the spider (arachanaphobic here)

they were big fsckers too, bot hte spider and the hornets

they were as long as a business card and about a quarter of the width

<shudders>

No no no no no...

You guys have it all wrong. You want a new fear? How about CAMEL SPIDERS
They can be about the size of a small dinner plate. If its hungry, it WILL eat flesh (even human) until the point that the spider is physically impossible of consuming more.

[/i] >>

These are carniverous Arachnids, that hunt their prey by chasing it. It feeds on ANYTHING. So when they do come out at night to feed, they are very ferocious and dangerous. A hunting camel spider runs across the desert floor almost at lightning speed, and it is so fast that it is impossible for the human eye to follow. When it senses its prey, the camel spider chases after it until it is caught. The greedy camel spiders have a big appetite - they will eat and eat and eat and eat until their bodies are swollen with food and they can hardly move an inch! [/i] >>

Speed: They can drift across the ground at about 35-40kmph. (you can't follow it too well..)

Where'd you get that crap about "camel spiders"?

Despite their fearsome appearance and their strong bite, solifugids are unlikely to harm humans.

<< Camel spiders are nocturnal predators of other arthropods including scorpions and are voracious feeders. Some species kill and feed on lizards and it is speculated that others kill mice and birds. They rely solely on their speed and stealth to catch their prey. In desert areas they are often attracted to lights at night in search of food and their appearance can cause alarm if they enter tents. >>

What teh hell are you talking about?

Camel spiders can sometimes be referred to as sun spider and also wind scorpions. They are in the family solifugae and are very fond of shade. These spiders are not poisonous and do not bite unless they feel distraught.

Here's the original BS story of Camel Spiders

Don't believe everything you read in a message board. :D

MSN "search" worked pretty well. :)

EDIT: You missed the best part of the story:

<< The venom of the camel spider is an anesthetic, so when it bites and chews and eats you (usually when you are sleeping), you do not feel it. But you WILL feel it when you are awake. And another thing: is a camel spider feels threatened, it will lift up it's four front legs, hiss very loudly, and charge at you. And it will jump, too. Camel spiders can jump ten feet >>

Thanks for the entertainment! :D LOLROTLPIP . . . maybe a good horror film.

You guys ASSume a lot..
That info was pulled off links on Google. .. and everything else I noted is TRUE. They don't prey on humans, but attacks have happened.

Your whole retort is pointless... I never said they were poisonous and they bite when they are HUNGRY.
