Hilarious. Now that the Republican won handily, despite "bodyslamming" that hilariously girlish Guardian reporter the night before, the election is suddenly not a bellwether for the GOP's national standings.

What do you find funny, specifically? Most of the votes happened before the incident and he underperformed by about ten points, which is broadly in line with how republicans in general have been underperforming.

If this keeps up they will lose the house, so using pretty basic logic that's not good for the GOP. Wouldn't you agree?

What's interesting about this topic is that with over 90% certainty (and the rest likely troll votes) ATPN correctly predicted that Gaint douchebag would win the election. And yet on MSNBC Steve Kornakie and the other talking heads were waddling and squawking about the possibility that Quist would win... and sincerely looked disappointed when he didn't....

I'm pretty much convinced at this point that MSNBC itself is a concern-trolling network that is secretly pro-trump (or at least pro-chaos). That, or they are just a gaggle of outright imbeciles.

Well no doubt every network has its imbeciles but there are some good ones even on FOX. If I had to pick my favorite from each;

FOX - Shepard Smith, very reasonable not afraid to criticise trump.
CNN - John King, good reporter just not flashy enough for prime time?
MSNBC - Rachel Maddow, I use to listen to her on the Radio.

Tribalism has us rooting for and cheering on "one of our own". It's simply part of pushing an agenda, rather than reporting the news.
Maybe that's why people were shocked in November. 2016 featured more cheer leading than reporting?

I thought this was a liberal echo chamber though?

Interesting.

I was disappointed that asshole won. Doesn't say much for this country. No reflection on my intelligence or that of MSNBC.

That assumes the idea that such an echo chamber would impede our ability to judge the likely outcome of an election. I would argue that a liberal echo chamber, composed of liberals who would tend to be more educated and intelligent, would have a much better chance of predicting such an outcome than a pure conservative echo chamber (i.e. a group of retards) or a diverse group of both retards and liberals.

So I don't think our success in predicting the outcome is evidence against an echo chamber. I do think it is evidence that MSNBC is not a liberal echo chamber or a liberal network. Do you disagree?

You were disappointed that Montana voters did the same thing they always do and voted for a psychotic asshole merely because he parroted some conservative talking points? I would agree that it doesn't necessarily say anything about your intelligence, but it does speak to a lack of knowledge on your part about Montana's political demographics.

"Incumbent Democratic Governor Steve Bullock won reelection to a second term in office with 50.2% of the vote. "

Yep, Montana voters voting in a psychotic asshole.

I already know conservative voters are guilty of this but was hoping their candidate being proved to be a violent lunatic would change that predictable outcome

Are you stating that simply because he's a Democrat.

Here's the difference, show me links of him behaving, enacting legislation, decision making, something pointing to support of your statement.

Maybe video footage of him assaulting someone

The difference being I will have no problem calling it what it is.

Otherwise, let your hate flow young tajiwan
