When I play certain maps on Day of Defeat, a sound effect will begin to repeatidly loop causing my system to crash. This is a very annoying problem, however it only occurs on certain maps.
I have a Sound Blaster 128 and have tried updating the drivers and that didn't help. I've tried screwing around with the sound configurations in half life and that didn't help either. As a final resort I will try to move the sound card to a different pci slot (maybe its an ICQ conflict?).
Anybody know how I can fix this problem? Have any similiar experience?
