Day After Tomarrow Trailer

looks like a plotless effect fest to me.
As of late, Dennis Quaid isn't proving to be much of an actor.
Although, it does have Jake Gllyenhall(sp?)(the kid from Donnie Darko), whom has proved to be pretty darn good.

I thought this was the new Bond flick, but I was wrong

It looks cool, I don't think I'd go in expecting oscar performances, but it'll be entertaining.

wow.....looks pretty good to me too..

at first i thought about the movie "the day after"...that nuke movie..

hmm...interesting movie must watch now kthxbye

wow, it looks pretty amazing. i will definitely go to see it. sure it won't get an oscar but i just want to have fun during a movie 🙂

from the makers of independance day....

that movie was pretty good. oh btw, i saw this trailer b4 matrix. thought it has some good potential as a pure entertainer

Anyone know what it is about? I saw it last night and my guess is that the poles shift polarity or a massive burst from the sun.

Thanks for the link. Doesn't look all that great, maybe I'll see it just for the special affects.
Premise: This movie takes a big-budget, special-effects-filled look at what the world would look like if the greenhouse effect and global warming continued at such levels that they resulted in worldwide catastrophe and disaster, including multiple hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes (I don't quite get the science of that one), tidal waves, floods and the beginning of the next Ice Age. At the center of the story is a paleoclimatologist (a scientist who studies the ways weather patterns changed in the past), Professor Adrian Hall (Quaid), who tries to save the world from the effects of global warming while also trying to get to his son, Sam (Gyllenhaal), who was in New York City as part of a scholastic competition, when the city was overwhelmed by the chilling beginnings of the new Ice Age. In addition to all of the other challenges Dr. Hall faces, he's also going against the flow as humanity races south to warmer climes, and he's nearly the only one going north... (Rossum plays another student, and Gyllenhaal's romantic interest; Ward plays Quaid's wife and Gyllenhaal's mother; Serrano plays Quaid's boss)

yeah, i saw a preview yesterday while watching the matrix revolutions

looks great
hopefully the acting & storyline will be as great as the special effects appear to be

I always hate that 15 minutes wasted on COMMERCIALS (diet coke, the army national guard) and crappy upcoming movies (ie, Tom Cruise as "the last samurai"?? - you bring piracy on yourself MPAA), especially before seeing Revolutions, but this one had me interested. I'll definately go see it!
