Day 4 without Chapstick...

After using a tube per week for 2 years, I've decided it is time to make a change. When people see you apply it 5011 times a day, they start to wonder about you...plus, girls don't like to kiss with this stuff on your lips...

My lips are in pain. Stupid Chapstick addiction. But hey, here's hope for all the other people here with the addiction. 😉

why wouldn't you use it if you need it? My lips get chapped all the time, so I use the Chapstick medicated stuff. Go through maybe a tube a month.

To help wean yourself buy some vaseline. NOT the vaseline chapstick (there's other stuff in there), just some plain 'ol petroleum jelly and use that when it gets bad.

You keep using it, and eventually your lips don't bother moisturizing themselves any more, which causes them to become chapped, which causes you to use more chapstick.

It's basically a physical addiction.

Wow. You are weak. I havent used chapstick ever. I really dont understand this whole "chapped lips" thing.

Addicted???

i use it a few times during the winter, but that's about it... most times I forget I have Chapstick until my lips dry out and crack... No biggie.. I just deal with it..

yeah, i didn't realize the addiction until i started using chapstick. now i'm constantly carrying it around 🙁

It mainly only happens if you go outdoors once in awhile or kiss a lot 😛

how stupid 😛

you need to use chapstick or some other kinda lip moisturizer. just don't get obsessed with it. a tube a week is going overboard.

I always carry my chapstick with me. I dont have the tube/stick stuff, but the blistex that comes in the little case. you have to use your finger to spread it out on your lips. I use it about twice a day. Its good stuff and always keeps your lips soft.

Tube a week!? I always have a tube on me at all times (currently using Anthony Logistics), but it'll last me a couple of months...dayum!

I can't stand chapstick. I don't use it even though I get chapped lips. I feels like I am putting lip stick on or something.......

My wife is 'addicted' as well. I try and try, but she won't cut back. It is true that you can get 'addicted' to these types of products. They should be used in limited quantities - when your lips are chapped (not dry). That way you avoid the 'addiction' problem where your lips always feel chapped without it.

Dry lip: it doesn't feel moisturized. You are fine. You'll get over the problem quite quickly.
Chapped lip: there is a significant red/bumpy/bleeding line (~2 mm visible) around your lips (below the bottom lip line or above the top lip line). Use Chapstick for a day or two.

People who are 'addicted' cannot tell the difference.

I guess I'm lucky of sorts... Every time I use chapstick my lips become too soft and they tear... so I never use it and usually don't need it.

haha that sucks! It's an addiction? Oh well, quitting is quitting. Today is my 4th day without a ciggarette... prolly harder to do that chapstick.

Anyways, I never use the stuff cause my lips hardly get chapped, but that is pretty weird how your lips stop moisturizing themselves. Now you gotta do all the work! HA!
