I'm not much of a fan of tabletop gaming, I think it had merit a while back, but Company of Heroes is awesome, and I'm interested to see what Warhammer 2 will look like. There's a strong rumor that Dawn of War 2 will be announced next PC Gamer UK issue.

That's the link. And as far as that goes, Relic has announced that on June 6th, there will be an opportunity to visit Relic and see the next big project they're working on:

I think, if they're not going to show off Dawn of War 2, their next game will be Homeworld 3, seeing how Sins of a Solar Empire did so well, they'll probably want to cash in on their sci-fi experience with these two titles.

Lets hope its better than Dark Crusade and Soulstorm.

Both titles based upon a good game are still good as standalones but look like they have been tarnished generally by simple mistakes, lack of balance and not enough attention to the details which are noticeable. Very lacklustre compared with DoW and Winter Assault. The air units were just big mistakes personally speaking.

Please for the love of The Emperor, Gork and Mork... please keep the Tyranids away! I like the game just the way it is :D I cant really explain why I dont want the Tyranids, I wasnt a fan of the Zerg either and didnt really know why. If they take the Tyranids up, I personally believe they will go for more of a Sup Com feel and increase the amount of IG troops on the field.

Dawn of War 2 or Homeworld 3.... its bound to be a nice scalable engine with beautiful graphics at any level. I cant wait!

The Tyranids are one of my favorites, and are very popular.

The Tau on the other hand look like anime rejects, and don't match the grim dark fantasy setting of Warhammer 40,000. I think the Tau are probably the least popular.

Well I'm guessing that Dawn of War 2 is announced next issue, then Homeworld 3 is announced on Relic Appreciation Day, or Relic Appreciation Day guests will see some Dawn of War stuff.

Personally, I couldn't see myself getting those expacks. I don't see myself getting the game, because Warhammer has never been an interest. Wargaming simply too expensive, and is being eclipsed by actual electronic simulations.

From the feel of things I would agree, much like the Zerg are popular from SC. Yes I know thats inflammatory comparing the two games/races but they are similar in the fact that they are human killing creatures of a generally non-humanoid form.

I dont know why but I do not feel any attachment to such a raceand therefore enjoy them the least. I would rather see them flesh out existing races, especially the core ones (IG, SM, CSM, Eldar, Orks... Necrons and Tau arent so central to the whole 40k universe from the players perspective in my personal opinion)

I would quite enjoy seeing a fluffier selection of SM equipment based on a mission-by-mission incremental gain. Gaining access to a wider variety of weapons and troops (Terminators, Dreadnaughts, Plasma Cannons, Lightning Claws) as the campaign progresses and the need to use such weaponary is deemed a necessity.

I don't know about you folks but I loved the DoW series. Though I would love to see a Sup Com style game for DoW 2 to give it that epic feeling. Hopefully they move away from the current style and go for a more epic Sup Com RTS style but I doubt it as I think GW would be afraid of losing people from it's core table top game audience. I wouldn't mind seeing a BattleFleet Gothic done ala HomeWorld style though. : P That would be awesome.

I would shit myself for Homeworld 3. I hope they announce it (and release it) before anything else.

edit: BattleFleet Gothic in Homeworld style?!?. I would doubly shit for a game of that caliber.

A Mordheim game would be sweet too.

I agree, I would love to see Company of Heroes, expand out, and become this 360 degree view of the battlefield. It wouldn't be CoH, but a new IP, using the ideas of Sup Com, and incorporating ships, aircraft, everything! Imagine: World War 2 in the Pacific done right!
