Dawn dishsoap thread

I assumed all dishsoaps are the same, so I bought a cheap no-name brand once and it was really lousy. I threw that one out and got a bottle of Dawn and it works good.

I see ads for different types of Dawn on TV so I went to check out what's really available.

They have six different kinds. Sure the commercial says they each have a merit, but are they any different?

2)added detergents for specific cleaning purposes.

Dawn Plus - the original dawn formula of dish soap.
Ultra Dawn - Concentrated dawn plus. Use less, for same load.
Dawn With Bleach Alternative - For use when you need a non-chlorine bleaching cleaner.
Dawn Complete - Regular dawn with extra hand lotion components.
Dawn Oxi - For use when you want an oxygen based cleaner
Dawn Botanicals - Regular dawn in new exotic scents

It took me about a week to realize my gf was right about Gain and Downy being the best. I don't doubt for a min that Dawn is the best dishsoap.

Well. Now, this has little to do with the thread. But I would just like to say that dishsoap is the absolute best way to unclog a toilet when a plunger won't work. When all hope seems lost, pour some dawn down there.
