One of the local rock stations played a clip of this while I was listening a couple weeks ago. Obviously it sounds a little odd without the music but you do get a sense of just how great DLR's vocals are listening to him sing a song with such range like RWTD. However, the song may be legendary but being the huge VH fan that I am I've come to find it not as good as much of their other works, including many with Hagar. IMHO.
Regardless, VH is the greatest American rock band ever compiled.

I don't really like any of those songs, I stopped buying VH albums when 1984 came out. I think they jumped the shark when Edie started playing keyboards. Just imo of course, to each their own.Originally posted by: BrokenVisage

When it's Love, Right Now, Why Can't This Be Love, Summer Nights, Love Walks In, Finish What Ya Started, Feels So Good, Can't Stop Lovin' You, Don't Tell Me What Love Can Do, Top of the World, Poundcake...
Half of those are better then RWTD, the other half are still great VH songs that any DLR follower should be able to appreciate if they ever truely liked Van Halen. I'm just glad I got into VH late and didn't "grow up" on them or I might've turned into one of you jaded Van Hagar haters as well. Really, if you wanna hate on a front man then hate on Cherone, Hagar is John Lennon compared to that hack.

You never realize how over the top his singing is until you hear this version of Runnin With The Devil that isolates his vocal track only. Its hilariously awesome.
