I got a free pair of tickets to some taping of an HBO special with Dave Attell tonight. I've seen some of his stuff on Comedy Central but I guess that's only the PG routine. I'm debating whether or not to bring a girl along, but I'm worried it'll be awkward if she doesn't find him funny. What should I do? Should I even care?

Depends on the girl. If she appreciates such humor then you''ll be fine.

If her sensibilities are delicate I'd avoid it.

He can get VERY crude. Not quite to the level of Doug Stanhope crude, but close.

If she is even a little bit prude she's going to be very uncomfortable. Not really something I would consider for a first date unless I *really* knew the girl and her tastes.

It definitely takes a special type of girl. I think he's hilarious and so does the fiance, but if the gal is easily offended you may want to reconsider.

Omg, if she doesn't find Dave Attell funny then she isn't worth dating. Besides I'll go with you if she doesn't. :D

If she gets offended she's probably a prude that you wouldn't want to hang out with anyways. It's a test.

Funny AND raunchy. Not for the easily offended. Actually, most comedians are not for the easily offended.

I did, she had no clue who he was. I might just send some YouTube links over.

Oh, ok, well if she has no idea who Dave Attell is then I think it might be risky.

Then again, if she gets up and walks out you'll be able to enjoy the show without further concern.
