I was just looking for a simple home theatre in a box. Found the Sony DAV-DZ100 on sale(~150), but wasn't sure if it was a good/decent set. Currently I have nothing, so it'll definitely be better than my tv stereo speakers :) Could someone help me out, my problem is I'm not even sure what to look for. Doesn't look like it has many connections going out, or many coming in for that factor... is there a "principle" number of inputs/outputs you want on your system? I tried to look up reviews, and found some on amazon... they seemed decent.

I'm not even sure if I'm asking the right questions, like I said... audio/video noob here.

Here's a link to the system... I'd be buying it at a local store though... not TD!

Thanks for any help!

edit: Also, this site shows the inputs/outputs...

? Amplifier: Dolby digital, Dolby ProLogicII, dts, S-master digital amplifier, 120W x 5 + SW 120W
? Function : DVD, Tuner, Video/SAT
? Input : Audio input RCA x 1
? Output: Composite x 1, S-Video x 1, Component x 1
? Tuner: FM 20/MW 10 preset

This might be OK for movies, but is going to be weak for music. Maybe OK for p2p warez 128kbps MP3s.

Flaws:
- weak speakers
- only 1 stereo input for 1 other source.

A $300-400 Onkyo home theater system will have speakers that are at least twice as good, plus more inputs including an analog 5.1 input if you want to hook up a PC.

Thanks for the help... maybe I'll just look for one of those. Any other opinions?
