Someone should break both arms and legs on that sad excuse for a father.

I'll bet the motherfucker got a chubby from it. Why else would he go on for nearly 7 minutes?

Ain't just a Texas thing. I knew plenty of kids growing up (in Michigan) who got whupped routinely with Daddy's belt. And corporal punishment by the school principal was still in vogue back in the 70s and early 80s. Appears that Michigan has since outlawed the practice, though.

I digress, though. This was clearly child abuse; and, quite possibly, on some level, child sexual abuse.

Death Penalty (where the innocent and mentally challenged are executed too)
The worst Republicans being elected to office
Their school board trying to destroy our nation's text books
Religious fundamentalism

Austin must be the only good thing about Texas.

I have been to Austin many times it is a GREAT city reminds me of my city very Progressive.

Stop with the dumb "oh, it's Texas" bullshit, it makes you look like an idiot. This sort of thing sadly happens in every city in the country every single day.

The video was disturbing, it definitely crossed from punishment to abuse IMO.

Also, if the kid is 16, it's long past the time when you can use corporal punishment to correct behavior. If you haven't raised the kid to be a good kid by then, it's way too late, beating them with a belt or anything else is not going to do anything good.

There's no way that guy should be a judge, he should be in jail.

I'm a firm believer in violence to stop violence. In fact that's only time it's justified. Jail is too nice like a "time out" but a curb stopping I'd go in for.

I've only seen red twice in my life. Once in apt we lived in some dude was beating his GF or wife as I was walking by their door. I kicked in screen door and proceeded to do work. Another time similar. This would be three if I saw it happening and the judge would be lucky if cops were there to just arrest him.

edit: all the posters above exemplify the continuing pussification of america.

I hate to break it to you like this, but just because you have a pair of rubber balls hanging from the back of your pick up truck,... that doesn't mean you have any.

Only people that would defend this are child abusers themselves. I bet being a worthless piece of shit runs in the family for you, generations of human garbage in one giant clump.

incorrect. never once beat a child or woman, and never will. try again!

another one who ducked the uncle "beating" video? check!

Nobody gives a shit about your other video. The district attorney in charge of the case of this judge's beating video said that charges would have been pressed in this case were the statute of limitations not expired.

So please continue clutching that random 'uncle' video to your chest as some sort of proof that this action was legal. Reality begs to differ.

Your post is just another step in the retardification of America.

yawn. hardly a single physical difference between the two videos. every single belt strike from the judge was waist level or below, and the judge's video of actual physical contact was only a 1-2 minutes longer. your outrage is clearly due to his tone only.

no federal charges either. :D

but this is intriguing: "You know, whether that would have been a felony or a misdemeanor charge I can't say but I think there would've been some action pursued."

Point stands. The pussification of America continues.

If you cannot tell the difference between them you have a possibly psychopathic inability to appreciate human expression or relationships.

Next, even if it were as bad it doesn't mean the first was any better; merely that it's as bad.

Hmmm... Thinking things went too far with a father yelling, swearing, threatening, and degrading a 16 year old female, his daughter, who happens to have a disability, while repeatedly striking her with a belt as she cries and screams... this is the pussification of America. LOLOLed, what a monumental douche.

Myself and most of my friends would like nothing more than to have a few minutes alone with the judge to give him a little taste of fear and pain... I suppose that's the uber super duper pussification of America.

Rarely does a comment come through as cleanly and clearly that demonstrates the sociopathic tendencies of a person. Thanks for that little public service you provided.

The judge did the right thing. Women should be kept barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. That's what the Bible says and if you spare the rod you spoil the child. Best to put the fear of God into females as early as possible and a belt to the legs doesn't do any permanent damage that might reduce her value to a future husband.

so what was the point of this video coming out? the girl is 22-23 years old now? The wife has been divorce from him for 3 years or more? My point is if they really felt like her life was threaten why didn't the mother call Child protective services or the girl go to the principal or police.

now they can't do anything legal wise to the judge.

The point, of course, was to show he should be a family court judge.

Yawn. Your interpretation vs. the district attorney's. I think I'll take his word for it despite how much of an internet tough guy you obviously are, but color me shocked that yet another idiot on here doesn't believe professional opinions because he saw a youtube video.

Your posting in this thread is clearly some attempt to be all edgy and you're already getting boring. Time to pack it in I think.

Thats abuse no question about it. Both the father and the mother should be locked up. There is a difference in using the rod and just flat out abuse.

yawn. a da who stated he wasn't even sure of the extent of the "crime", possibly bowing to unwarranted public outrage. no federal charges as well.

it's fine you continue to duck the uncle "beating" video, which matches the physical type of whippings of the judge video. as stated previously, your only issue is the judge's tone. point stands. the pussification of america continues.
