The only thing short people need to work on is confidence. Most of the girls I date are my height or shorter (5'6" down), but there have been times when taller girls have shown obvious interest in me. And I can totally relate to some of the comments in this thread/article. I actually catch more flak about being short from girls who are very close to my height but slightly shorter (my last GF, who was 2" shorter than me, believed for like a year we were the same height ). And I've been told more than once that if I was just a little taller I'd be "hot" instead of just "cute." Whatever, those bitches don't know what they're missing out on.

yeah but any woman with an ounce of brains wants to date guys who are nice to her. A guy's height doesn't matter if he's an azz.

I disagree, my memory is a bit rusty but I think I've probably dated more short men than tall ones.

I'm 6'4" and my experience shows that taller women definitely want to date tall guys.

I've never experienced that short women won't date guys their own height.


In the end, it's personality and confidence that works. These traits can overcome many biases (except if the guy is fat.....this can also be overcome if he's a wealthy celebrity like Jack Black or Philip Seymour Hoffman ).

Being tall is pretty much an advantage in every aspect of life. Attracting women being a big one. I'm just glad I managed to hit 5'9", considering my father is probably about 5'7" and my mom is 5'0".

Seriously, I was 5-6 when I enlisted in the Marines. 4 yrs later, I was almost 5-10, nowdays, I'm about 6-1.
