Dating a girl who doesn't have a car?

I met this girl in Sacramento, and it looks like we will be dating soon. Thing is I live/go to school @ UCB which is about an hour and half drive from Sac... Is it worth me kicking off a "relationship" with this girl if she's an hour and a half away and doesn't have her own way of coming down to see me?

I use the word "relationship" lightly because I'm currently dating other, more local people as well.

I'll post a pic when i'm off work.

I mean is it worth start a relationship w/ somoene 1.5 hours away? Esp. with gas prices near 3 bucks a gallon... and esp. considering I have open options on campus...

I did, and married her. No big deal. We go places together most of the time anyway, and if she wants to go somewhere that doesn't fit my schedule she takes the bus or a cab. No problem for me, and it saves us hundreds of dollars per month in car payments, insurance and gas.

That said, it would be kind of a pain in the arse to always be expected to drive to her, and she can't ever make the trip. I probably wouldn't have started dating my wife if she was an hour and a half away. Twenty minutes was one thing. An hour and half is something else.

I started a relationship with a girl who is 5 hours away in a different state

edit: of course, I do end up spending $100-200 on the weekends to go see her (gas prices are teh suck)

Nope. I was absolutely in love with this one girl a while back, but she lived halfway across my city. There was no way we could get together, so I'm waiting a few years before I call her up again ;)

I try to do the best I can do date girls under 16 YOA, so no, not having a car is not usually a problem...
