somebody else did a story on that. they showed a slow-mo of the passenger airbag going off and it depolyed right in the eyes of the test dummy. too bad a few people had already been permantly blinded from it.

My 95 Maxima's airbags didn't even deploy when I crashed at 20-25 MPH. Maybe its a good thing it didn't? I wanna keep my eyes.

Not everyone drive a brand new car genious I drive an 8 year old car. My dad drives a 6 year old F-150.

Just to note, the injuries only occured on the passanger side. In all the injury cases, the driver was barely injured, if at all.

I admit, it looks bad for Nissan. But I have to question Dateline's objectivity here after their GM truck case.

I saw that - quite interesting considering my aunt owns one. (I pretty much only sat in the front passenger seat)

AmusedOne - you have a point about subjectivity, but that doesn't explain Nissan in the middle of the '95 year replacing those airbags with a brand new type.
