Date Ideas for San Francisco

How much $$ you wanna spend? The Hornblower yachts are NICE nice, but do the romantic thing pretty well, dinner cruises on the bay as the sun sets.

McCormick & Kuleto's at Ghirardelli Square for dinner, get an ice cream sundae for dessert, and then walk around north beach?

Picnic up at the park above the bridge at night, all the city lights to look at. Cheap. 🙂

Yoshi's in Oakland has a good jazz menu, if you want a nice dinner/show thing.

I like that Yoshis idea, whats their address/website, but I am picking this girl up at 2, so I need a decent place to kill time for 3 to 4 hours before dinner, haight and ashbury mayhaps always a classic 😛

For fun: exploratorium? Ripley's Museum? Pier 39 is always a good tourist trap. For $12, you can buy her an oyster and a (likely) chance of getting a pearl. Oooh, special. ::roll:: Cute thrills. Go walk the Marina or fly a kite. Check out Coit Tower, if you're leaning towards the intellectual side, and enjoy the murals.

Yoshi's is just a sushi spot in Oakland, I don't have a link, should be able to Google it. There are a ton of clubs like that in the area though.

if you want a magically date...get a car
drive to the Larkspur Inn for lunch (Larkspur, CA, North over the Golden Gate Bridge), have an amazing meal..
then continue on to Muir Woods..amazing place to walk around (virgin redwood grove - stunning and serene)

simpler date..lunch at Neiman Marcus downtown, under the stained glass dome...it's fun

take one of the harbor boat rides

take the ferry over to Sausalito and have lunch at the Madrona Manor on the roof top glassed in deck
walk around town, take the ferry back to S.F...magical...

if you can't come up with a fun date in S.F., your hopeless....

Stinkin' Rose! Not sure if it's still open. You each will eat enough garlic to disgust each other and squash any hope of another date. Saving you from a lifetime of misery.

Or head up to twin peaks and check out the scenery, then find any restaurant!

Seriously the House of Prime Rib on Van Ess Avenue is very reasonably priced and very fancy. Then for Desert goto Just Deserts (Several Locations). But do the Twin Peaks, It's a great View!

I have Yoshi's reservations for Dinner 🙂 and I figure a good trip down Haight and Ashbury will determine if she is right for me or not.

aww so you don't like my McCormick & Kuleto's suggestion? 😛

That place is good but I would say its much for a first date. But, who am I to talk, I took my current gf out for sushi first time out...Dinner alone cost me almost $100. Good thing dinners since then have been less then half as much max!
