So I met this girl through a job that I had this summer, been talking to her for a while, I plan to ask her out to go do something this friday, my question is what to do though?

you have your usual, dinner, movie or something. Anything else you guys could think of that would be a good idea for a date?

I am leaning towards movie but I don't know of any good movies out right now that would make for a good date movie, suggestions?

thanks

I'd say go have a drink somewhere nice. It's always simple and easy. And the alchohol really helps to loosen things up. Go somewhere where they have dancing to in case she wants to dance. Or at least so you can watch the people dance.

Sorry was typing when you posted.

Well that sucks. I couldn't handle a date without alchohol or at least being able to get into the kind of places that serve it

Go somewhere and have an appitizer and a soda (so you can talk and get to know each other more but it's not to long and awkward) and then walk over to a movie.

my best date when i was young was giving a girl a fake "tour" of our city. walking, making up romantic things about certain spots ("this bar was the place emily dickenson and edgar allan poe supposedly met, starting their secret love afair").. silly stuff like that.. then we ended up sitting in the park and watching the stars, worked like a charm

Taking a date to the movies is the stupidest idea ever. The point of the date should be to find out if you like someone and you can't find out much about someone sitting in a movie.

This what I thought, but it also presents more oppourtunity for awkward silence and such. What would be a nice resturant to take her to then? Any recommendations?

Take her somewhere interesting to eat like a japanese place with hibachi, or a local dive type place with a really cool atmosphere and some type of special dish. The weather is nice now so try to find something outside to do after. Live music is always good or just hanging out by a lake or a scenic spot is cool. Buy her flowers too, it's cheesy but women like it.
