DATARAM RAMDisk Confusion

Considering using free RAMDisk software by DATARAM. I'm slightly confused about some things:
1. Have read in the past that their RAMDisk size is limited to 4GB. On their website, however, it says the free version is limited to 1GB. Did they pare it down or was I thinking of a different brand of ramdisk? (They have a personal use version for $12.99 that allows larger RAMDisk size.)

2. The free version info/blurb says:
"RAMDisk is offered as "freeware" for personal use and will allow you to create disks up to 1 GB in size."
But, just below that it says:
"RAMDisk will be limited to approximately 2.85 GB maximum with 32-bit Windows OS."
If the first statement is true then why point out the 2.85GB limitation on 32-bit systems?

3. Is a 1GB ramdisk any use at all these days considering when you consider that Chrome browser can easily use that much or more with a handful of open tabs?

Would appreciate enlightenment from any experienced RAMDisk users, please?
