I am trying to back up my MP3s so I can ditch the several CDs that I have then spanned across. I have the Cendyne DVD-r that was on sale at OfficeMax on BlackFriday. It is the DVR-105 model. I am using the version of Nero Express that came with the drive. I know that is not the best burning software but I figured it would at least suffice for a little while. Ok, lets get to the prob: I burn my compilation and I set it to verify the data after burning. It gets a little more than halfway through before it starts reporting errors. When I view the disc in My Computer I can see all the files and I can play the first few files listed but towards the middle, My Computer will freeze up and stop responding. This has happened on two discs so far. I am using Khypermedia DVD-R, would media-quality be an issue here?
