My 16gb memory card got corrupted and I am completely blank on how to recover all the data I had in it . I have asked some of the local shops out in town but then they said that I would have to get a new one. Is there any way to get my data??
 
Data recovery software may help. I normally use GetDataBack (runtime.org). I'm not 100% certain whether GetDataBack for FAT can handle exFAT but I think it does.

Does the card still work?
First step is to clone the card.
Then try to recover, using testdisk or lots of other ones.
If these are images, you can also use PhotoRec.
