Data Recovery Software - Any suggestions?

I posted this in Software first, but I didn't get any responses, so I'm going to try here (please forgive me).

I tried Get Data Back and it could only see 134GB of it, and Handy Recovery was totally worthless. I would like to recover the files onto the same hard drive. Does anyone know a way I can do that?

IDK if it would work for this, but try DTI Data's Recover it all. it works, and their tech support is superb. http://www.dtidata.com/recover_it_all.htm
It's $100, and you can use the free demo to see how much of the data you can see on it.

Recovering data onto the same hard drive isn't a great idea. When you have drive problems and lost data, the last thing you want to do is write to the same drive.
