Data recovery programs?

I have heard of programs that can recover deleted files, removed from recycle bin, or at least attempt to.

Does anyone know a decent one, and where I can get it?

I've used lost and found to get files from a screwy HD once, took a long time but I got the important stuff.

Directory Snoop is a very powerfull tool that is shareware but fully functional.
