We have lost a months worth of data, and I would be so appreciative of any help what-so-ever!!
Our operating system is Windows 2000 NTFS.
We were using Norton's Ghosting Programme to ghost files from our old computer to our new computer, and it went 75% of the way and then incurred an error. It destroyed the partition tables on both computers and we have lost data that we thought we had backed up.
We live in New Zealand, and our computer technician has tried all of the programmes that we know of and have available to us down here- but to no avail. 🙁
There are some programme files on the hard drive, however it has been very selective in which ones it has deleted and which ones it has kept.
So far we have tried Recover 2000 for NTFS, and another similar programme that our technician uses. We have also tried a DOS programme written for Windows 2000 NTFS system.
Does anyone know please of any other ways to attempt data recovery, or of any programmes that may help us?
We have read of "Get Data Back for NTFS 1.0" this morning, but are not sure if this could assist us any further.
Thank you!!
