DATA needed - What is your temperature with Pentium 2.4C

System/Idle/Load/Clock/Heatsink/Core voltage

Here is my in room with no AC:
33/46/50/2.4/Zalman CNPS5700D-CU/default

This is the reading from BIOS of IS7-E which is higher than the reading from Sandra. Funny thing is when I overclock it to 2.7 GHz I get pretty much the same temperatures.

I did not try yet 3 GHz, waiting to get better fan to replace Zalman 37 CFM fan then I'll try. I am sort of surprised with temperatures so far. I expected it to be cooler. Your temperatures look similar except you have it at 3 GHz which is fairly good.

I am running a 2.4C at 2.83Ghz, its on stock cooling and voltage, with a full load temp of 44^F. Oddly enough, I had the same temp at 2.65Ghz. And the real time clock monitor confirms that no throttling is taking place.

Abit boards typically read higher than normal. Don't worry. In that case, I get < 40C consistently.

Exactly my point. I just tried 2.748 (229) and I got readings about the same as with 2.4?
I am used to see temperature rasing with overclock, at least that is the case with Athlon. I wonder if this is my mobo fault (IS7-E) since Sandra reports lower temperatures, typically 4-5 C lower.

No offense, but you are not overclocking that chip yet, so the temperature will NOT rise until you actually put some stress on it.

I have a 2.4b, and until I bumped up the voltage, the temps didn't change all the way up to 3078 MHz.

(no, it wasn't stable, had to up the voltage to 1.625v at that level. The part I like to brag about is the HeatSink and Fan is a stock Intel Retail unit !!!, running 52/125 on die temp sensor while running Prime95 torture test!)

You should not be so warm at stock speeds with that cooler, I don't think. All I have done to my stock HSF is smooth the bottom of the sink a little with some fine grit paper, and used ArcticSilver3. But, the first time, I put too much compound on it, way too thick. Temps maxed out and the governor kicked in, even when I UNDERCLOCKED it to 1800 Mhz it still maxed out at 69/156! Ouchie hot. So, remove your sink, polish it up some, get some alcohol and clean it all up, processor too, and try again. Just my opinion/experience.
