Data from Abit IS7 initical screen

Hi. A newcomer question.

I have just upgraded my PC with IS7, 2.8c ghz CPU and 1 Gig DDR PC3200 Ram from crucial. The intial screen when I turned the machine on shows the following:

Main Processor: Intel Pentium (R) 4 1.40 ghz (100x14.0)
Memory 1048576K OK
CPU Brand name: Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.80 ghz.

Can someone please explain what the first line regarding the main processor is saying? Is it saying that the processor is not 2.8c? If so, it conflicts with the third line starting with "CPU Brand Name:"

Also, the backplate on the case that I have (Chenbro Genie) does not match the back-ports on the IS7. So, I had to replace it with the one that came with IS7. However, compared to the onethat was removed (solid steel), what is supplied with IS7 is rather thin and delicate. Is there some place where one can get a more solid backplate that matches the IS7 back-ports?

Thanks

You need to go in the BIOS and make sure the CPU is set to the correct speed. Check to see that the CPU speed is set to 2.8Ghz. As for the backplate, you're SOL. Just stick with the one supplied for you, as long as its secure it should be fine.
