This is a clean install of windows(It also did it on my old install of XP before I upgraded my computer) and every time I go into a folder containing DIVX compressed AVI files I get a "Data Execution Prevention Error" and then windows Explorer crashes bringing down the whole system with it. This happens a few seconds after it tries to show the first frame in the left files and folder tasks pane and this only happens with Divx AVI files not any other type (Like XVID) I would like to disable the windows video preview
here is a Screen Shot of the error

so Is there a way to disable windows from showing the first frame of the file ever time I select it with the mouse? I have the latest version of DiVX Installed and registered (I encode alot of video mostly TV shows and Movies)

You can exclude Explorer from DEP in computer/properteis/advanced but I'd check with who makes your codec, they need to fix that issue.
