Looks like my computer got infect by some viruses/malware while I was surfing the web in Firefox. All of the sudden I got alot of HD access then some pop ups then a DEP on Windows Explorer. I have used AVG and Malwarebytes to find and remove everything they will find, but when I boot up I still get a DEP on Windows Explorer. I can run some things from the task manger though like AVG, Malwarebytes, and Firefox. But I would really like to get Explorer back up. Any suggestions.

I think my infected system will still burn a CD. I have not tried it.

I ran my log through http://www.hijackthis.de. It seems to be mostly clean. Bunch of trusted zone issues and two things looking for missing files. I assume my scanners deleted the files just not the references to them. There were a few lines the website didn't know about.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [xsjfn83jkemfofght] C:\DOCUME~1\Eric\LOCALS~1\Temp\winlogin.exe
They look bad to me and plan to kill them with hijackthis.

What about this entry:
O16 - DPF: {82774781-8F4E-11D1-AB1C-0000F8773BF0} (DLC Class) - https://transfers.ds.microsoft...rce/grTransferCtrl.cab
It has microsoft domain so I assume it is good.

And one more line:
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: karna.dat,kgtcih.dll,c:\windows\system32\rikojine.dll,C:\WINDOWS\system32\vegozadi.dll,avgrsstx.dll
The file names look strange but the last dll listed is part of AVG, so are they all good?

OK I know what the APPInit_DLL section is for now, and all those entries are not good. I will use some other scanners tonight and/or just remove the entries manually if I can.

I switched from AVG to Avira and it didn't find anything new. I delete some stuff using HijackThis and here is my new log. Do you see anything bad. I am still getting the DEP on Windows Explorer on startup. I am about to install and run SUPERAntiSpyware on it to try and find/fix it. How about running SFC from the command line to fix damaged windows files. Will that work?

Well SUPERAntiSpyware found a few things and removed them, but I still get the same error. Any suggestions? I am running out. Could a virus or something corrupted one of my windows files and that is what is causing this error?

Well SFC fixed it, I can load windows explorer now. One thing though I have a white box about 100x200 pixels in the bottom right corner of my desktop now. It has the image icon in the top left corner of it. I though it was some kind of broken pop up from Avira, so I disabled that, but it is still there. What is it?

OK it was a broken update for SUPERAntiSpyware. I clicked on it in the right place and an update for it started. Something about a language update and then I had to pick English. Any way now it is gone. That was rough.

OK I just found another problem. It seems IE cannot render certain image files. That is why the SUPERAntiSpyware thing showed up as a blank image. I just went to youtube and all the preview images of the movies are just blank with the image icon in the top left. Anyway to fix it? It works fine in Firefox.

Quick update I noticed if I right click show image it shows that one image. But if I refresh the page the image is missing again. Strange.

OK, I found it. Was not that bad actually. The show image option in IE was turned off. No telling how that happened with everything else that has happened the past few days.
