Data DVD shows up as blank DVD

So I pop in the DVD into the drive, the drives spins for a bit then says its a blank DVD. It's a data DVD (not video) so I don't know if there's a region component to this since I'm in the US and the DVD was burned in the UK. Any ideas?

Try it on a different DVD drive if you're sure it's a good burn. Some drives have problems reading certain brand disks.
