Data center work - With pics!

Finally did some data center work today...took forever! Rewired a whole mess of console setups for our Unix gear.
Also implemented my new Passport 1612G switches and removed about 6-7 Nortel 450 units by doing so!

Yes those are PowerEdge 6650 servers. 4 cpu's in each one.
And yes that is an EMC FC4700 Fiber channel array at the bottom of the dell rack..only 1/2 terabyte in size. Of course it did its job, and now it goes away so we can start using our new EMC DX600.

Nice HP Superdome (or maybe RP7410?) you have sitting next to the Unix stuff..


We've got an RP7410 with a Tb FC on it, and all the rest of the servers are ALL IBM. x330's and x345's. I have two x345 hardware clusters, one with 1Tb (Exchange 2000) and one with 2Tb (file server).

Nice rig, but... What's with all the Dell? I keep hearing abotu all sorts of problems with their PERC controllers.. ServeRAID rules!!
