Data archiving systems

I was trying to see if any of them actually were DVD burners. From what I could tell, they were only DVD readers and burnt to regular CDR/CDRW's.

Unfortunately these aren't exactly what I was looking for. They serve the secondary purpose of providing archived data online, but not the first of cataloging data off a file server and actually writing it to a CD or DVD before storing that CD/DVD.

Yeh, I know what you are looking for. Basically something that keeps like 20/30/40 whatever CDR/CDRW's in it at all times and allows you to back up data to them and logs it. When you want to retrieve that data, it pulls up the disk where that is stored and then restores it to the original location.

The credit union I used to do night ops for had them. We wrote all the loan applications that we took for the day onto the jukeboxes.
