Dat Tape Capacity

Does anyone know the true amount of bytes a DDS-3 12/24 tape will hold uncompressed, cant get it to hold more than 10gig, drivin me nuts.

Any help is appreciated.

Well, it should hold 12 gig, since 12/24 designation usually means 12 uncompressed, 24 compressed.
